4. For students in the 114 academic year who are: new students, returning students, transfer students, or students changing majors — please apply for a new UCAN account.
Step 1: Open the UCAN platform link. On both computer and mobile versions, click the menu button in the upper right corner → select “Log In” → then “Apply for Account.”
Step 2: Set your own username; enter your student ID (uppercase).
Step 3: Find “Shih Chien University – Kaohsiung Campus.”
For the school location, select “Taipei City.”
Make sure your department selection is correct so that your data will not be mixed with Taipei Campus records.
5. For students enrolled in the 113 academic year or earlier, the default account is:
1017 + your student ID (uppercase A).

6. Purpose of Promotion:
The UCAN Career Competency Platform is designed to help students better understand themselves, identify their career interests, move from confusion to clarity, and engage in learning across both specialized and diverse fields to develop their own competencies.
7. Platform Advantages:
UCAN is a platform promoted by the Ministry of Education and developed by the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI). It has strong validity and reliability, and it is connected to TaiwanJobs, expanding the tools available for job searching.
8. UCAN Implementation Plan for Shih Chien University (Freshman to Senior, starting A112):
Freshmen: Complete the Career Interest Test and General Competency Test
Sophomores: Complete the Professional Competency Assessment
Seniors: Must complete all three items, coordinated with graduation procedures
Resume resources, resume articles, career exploration (Job Bank Zone), practical tool platforms
